Description
"Maria Caspar-Filser (...) has followed her path in a calmer and more consistent manner, being one of the strongest artistic personalities among South German female painters. Her paintings, mostly animated landscapes, are imbued with a (...) rhythm of the masses, a harmony of proportions and a coherence of the often austere mood, which make her creations appear artistically utterly serene. Among the finest is (... among others) the ‘Spring Hill’ from 1910." (Julius Baum, Contemporary Art in Stuttgart, Stuttgart 1913, p. 180).
