Description
• A quintessential steel sculpture with a rust patina
• The powdery patina lends the robust cast-iron object a delicate and vulnerable surface
• Special edition "Grenze weg" to mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

Against the backdrop of the 25th anniversary of German reunification, the sculpture "Grenze weg" presents an impressive homage both to this historic event and to the Brandenburg Gate. This substantial work reflects the once impassable nature of the monumental landmark, as well as the breakthrough and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Cragg cast the sculpture in steel and allowed the surface to oxidise naturally. "Grenze weg" captivates not only through its physical size but also through its profound symbolic significance. The work exemplifies Cragg’s unmistakable and organic-looking formal language.
