Description
Study for the painting "Painter at the Table, Four Figures" (Maur G 465), which is now in the Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal. The painters are depicted in the paint laboratory of the Herberts company in Wuppertal. The motif is part of a series of studies on the subject of "The Painter", which were created in the spring of 1941 in connection with the painting of a lacquer cabinet.
