Descrizione
Ferdinand Kitt studied at the Vienna Academy from 1907 to 1914, was a member of the Vienna Secession from 1919 and for a time its president as well as a professor at the Vienna Women's Academy. Starting out from Expressionism, in the 1930s he turned to a style of painting close to New Objectivity. This charming still life shows the freshly bought market produce randomly arranged on the tabletop, just as the vegetables have been rolled out of the paper bag.
