Description
Contemplative composition in strong colours. The portrait appears almost like a watercolour due to the glazed application, despite the intensity of the colours. The floral background is particularly enchanting here, a textile and dream world at the same time. Comparable depictions are known from the artist's early work, but they are inferior in their beauty.
