Radierung mit Kaltnadel auf leicht strukturiertem Velin. (1923). Ca. 19,5 x 38,5 cm (Blattgröße ca. 39 x 54 cm). Probedruck außerhalb der Auflage von 60 Exemplaren. Signiert unten rechts, betitelt und bezeichnet „Siesta (Probedruck) Frau Professor Glaser herzlichst zugeeignet“ unten links.

Beckmann dedicated this sheet to Mrs Glaser, the wife of the well-known art historian and Beckmann collector Curt Glaser (1879-1943). It is possible that this etching served as a model for Beckmann's 1931 oil painting with the same title (cf. WVZ Göpel 353), which shows Max Beckmann and his second wife Mathilde von Kaufmann (known as "Quappi").
