A fine lifetime impression of the first state, the numerous delicate scratches between the heads either no longer visible or only faintly discernible. Printed before the strengthening of several lines and areas of shading, as found in the posthumous second state. Small margins up to 4 mm around the platemark. – The upper edge reinforced on the verso with laid paper. With a horizontal crease mark passing through the printed signature. Some faint foxing along the right margin. Otherwise in good condition.
