Description
The complete set very good, strong and clear impressions with the borderlines, three of which with thread margins. Partly with gaufrage verso. All sheets without text on verso. The work, created in the tradition of Dürer's ‘woodcut passion’, is described by F. Winzinger as: ‘... a completely original creation, which finds completely new, often almost baroque solutions, especially in the treatment of light and space’. – On the reverse with small brown spots and remains of former mounting. Bartsch no. 22, the lower left corner carefully replaced. Bartsch no. 24, the upper left corner retraced, otherwise in good condition. As a complete set very rare!
