Bleistift, teils gewischt, auf blaugrauem Bütten mit schwer erkennbarem Wz. „Halbmond“ (?). 1864. 21,5 x 34 cm. Im Unterrand rechts bezeichnet „Franz Adam und Brandt./im Atelier“, danach signiert und datiert „8. (undeutlich) 1864“.
Description
On 9 November 1998, Christie's, Amsterdam, auctioned a drawing also dated 1864. It shows Joseph von Brandt (1841-1915) sitting behind his easel on the right, who taught Franz Quaglio alongside his uncle Franz Adam, who is also depicted here. - Individual unobtrusive creases along the lateral edges of the sheet. The lower right corner slightly bumped. In good condition.
