Description
Fine, strong impressions, with wide margins around the platemark. The artist was already making studies for these compositions in 1722, continued to revise them over the following years, and seems to have finalised them only around 1746, as evidenced by the drawings found in the artist’s estate. – Paper somewhat time-stained. Faint foxing and occasional small stains. Handling creases and a few, partly repaired tears in the margins. Two sheets made-up in the top and bottom left corners. Otherwise in good condition. Very rare as a complete set!
