Description
Simplified version of the drawing in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, Orvieto, but without the two children in the foreground. According to Eitel-Porter, this could be a work by the artist's workshop. However, it is also conceivable that it was a first draft, which was then embellished in the subsequent drawing. - Slightly stained. Traces of creasing in left margin; paper slightly fragile there. Traces of studio on the reverse.
