According to a written communication from Eckhart Knab, Albertina, Vienna, this is a drawing from Daniel Gran’s apprenticeship in Italy, which was probably created in connection with a ceiling fresco by Luca Giordano and Francesco Solimena (letter dated 16 February 1987). – Isolated faintly time stained spots. A crease along the upper edge of the sheet, slightly creased in the lower left corner. On the reverse, remnants of former mounting in the corners. In good condition for its age.
