Description

The portfolio ‘Epitaph for Karl Amadeus Hartmann’ was initiated at the request of the Hartmann family (Elisabeth and Richard P. Hartmann), with the support of the City of Munich — as a tribute to the important German composer Karl Amadeus Hartmann (1905–1963). This interdisciplinary tribute in the form of an extensive collection brings together graphic works by numerous renowned artists of European modernism and post-war art — an artistic memorandum that unites different positions and styles to express remembrance and artistic solidarity in very different ways.
