Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn
Weiblicher Akt auf einem Erdwall
Beschreibung
An exceptionally fine impression of the second state, without the usual wear which begins early in the printing of this state, comparable to the Amsterdam impression illustrated in The New Hollstein. With the shading on the left thigh now burnished out. An uninked hairline at top; slight slipped printing in her hair. Thread margins or trimmed to the platemark. – Very faint, scattered foxing (mostly verso). Paper slightly thinned out along the edges on the reverse. Verso with remnants of former mounting. Otherwise in good condition.
